The individual solution, be bespoke, be an exhibition stand out!
Every brand needs it’s own unique voice, an individual voice that needs to be delivered consistently. With ŠKODA, the main brand has further division through its vehicles, in this case the Yeti and Rapid Spaceback. Have you ever wondered how you can be different, to be bespoke, to make your exhibition stand rise above the crowd and shine like a beacon? We did just this with our event partners A1 Events & Exhibitions to create a memorable customer experience across multiple locations.

We have been working alongside A1 Events & Exhibitions for a number of years on a range of projects. In October 2013 we were asked to work on a project for ŠKODA, on a new launch for two of their vehicles. This included the Yeti facelift and the new Rapid Spaceback. The objective was to feature the two cars on an interactive stand for the public to engage with at different locations around the country. The idea was to get the car seen by as many people as possible and increase awareness of new car offers over a 3 month period.
Exhibition stand design
The design of the stand had to reflect a clean and crisp image within the brand guidelines set by ŠKODA. 50% of the stand was allocated to the ŠKODA Yeti facelift and the other half was dedicated for the new Rapid Spaceback – only a bespoke exhibition stand design would do!
The design of the stand had to reflect these two different cars and how they would interact with the general public. The floor on the stand was a specially adapted floor system which had been reinforced for the allowance of vehicles but still had the ability for long cable runs. The edging was all laminated MDF with an anti-slip tape applied. They had a centre store area to define the two sides of the stand, this allowed all electrical equipment to be hid safely out of the public view. The ŠKODA Yeti side had to be designed around a winter/log cabin feel with a facility for producing frozen sorbets. We built a mock cabin to house this and from there the public could be served with a drink of their choice, they also could then decorate their drink with a variety of sweets from a sweet counter that we also constructed to match the cabin. For this to be allowed in the shopping centres we had to ensure specific standards were meet against very stringent health and safety guidelines. The cabin was finished off with fake snow on the roof and a graphic image behind to achieve the desired effect.
The other half was for the Rapid Spaceback. This side had to reflect the idea of space, and the idea was to create a unique 180 degree photographic experience. This was one of the most demanding elements as this had to be worked out from the ground up, but working alongside A1 Events & Exhibitions and a professional event photographer, we were able to achieve this successfully in a short time frame.
This was a key feature to the ŠKODA stand as the public would have the opportunity to have their photo taken with a number of cameras, the resulting effect was they were caught floating in mid-air (Matrix style) experiencing the feeling of space.
“The biggest challenge was to develop the interactive photographic display in just 4 weeks which they successfully achieved, Overall the stand was installed at a number of venues, all with different challenges which were overcome with precise planning and a professional approach to the stand build”
